Shim Art is a unique art form whereby individual wood sticks are cut and painted then assembled into a harmonius design, or pattern that some have said read like a book.  I then create the framing from solid wood that brings it all together.   No two pieces are alike and they can hang vertically or horizontally.
 
Every Idle Hour has a deep gray backing with different shades of turquois and siennas mixed with neutrals, so many wonderful colors.  There is a rawness to the wood so grain patterns show through with the art markings giving that modern organic feel I love.  Hope you enjoy!
